Lava Pride Awards
Lava Lions Club receives Lava Pride Award
The Lions Club has been active in Lava since the early 60's. Approximately 20 years ago they began hosting weekly BINGO under the direction of Les and Joan Bocek. This has brought a great revenue into our community which has been used for many enhancements. Care and restoration of the Community Building, Public Restrooms, Fitness Center, Centennial Trail, Museum, School and Seniors Programs just to name a few. Many BINGO benefits have been hosted for those in need.
Great diligence and commitment has been put forth by those serving in both the Lions Club and the Lioness keeping it alive and well here in Lava...a very BIG "THANK YOU"!
Lava Pride Award was created by the late Robert “Bob” Rush to recognize those in Lava who are making a positive contribution to our community.
The Chamber is accepting nominees for the "Lava Pride" award. This award is to acknowledge those that have put forth extra effort to make things better in Lava. This could be through service, improvements to property and cleanliness of our community. Please send nominations by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or bring to the next Chamber meeting.
The past winners are: Alpaca Inn, South Bannock Historical Center, Lava Elementary School, Town Square, Greystone Manor, State Hot Pools, R & R Vacation Rentals, KOA, Gallery House, Rustic Inn and Riverwalk Thai Restaurant.
